Central Church is scheduled to celebrate communion on Sabbath, 2/20. Due to the COVID restrictions present at the church building, not everyone will be able to celebrate at the church together as in previous years. Therefore, we would like to encourage you to celebrate communion with your family and friends. You can still participate via livestream for worship where we will also celebrate communion at the church.
However, you can partake of the emblems and foot washing (which will not occur at the church) in your own homes. Just below, you will find a recipe for communion bread. There is also an informational video to help you prepare for this coming event. As always, if you have any questions, please contact an elder, deacon, or deaconess. God bless you as we keep the Lord’s command to celebrate His supper.
Communion Bread
1 cup wheat flour
½ cup + 1/3 cup white flour
½ c oil + 2 Tbsps.
¼ c water
Dash salt
Baking Stone
Directions:
Mix all ingredients with a wooden spoon in a large bowl until mixture forms a ball.
(You may knead for a few seconds with your hands)
Place dough on your stone and with a rolling pin,
roll out to a slightly thin sheet (not too thin, not too thick). Use a serrated butter knife and cut gently through the dough length wise and horizontally to make small squares.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
Remove from oven and let cool completely on wire rack.
(I bake this on my round or square stone.)
Soon there will be a link to an instructional video right here!
